Default Gray Wolf Research Project

Next month I am going to spend about a week in the Enterprise/Joseph area conducting my own Gray Wolf Research Project.

I am not a biologist and this is for my own personal interest. I have spent months reading just about every article that I can find relating to wolves in Oregon. I am in the process of reading a wolf biology book by David Mech. I have had discussions with ODFW, Oregon Wild, Oregon Wold Education, US Fish & Wildlife and the Oregon Cattleman's Association and a couple of ranchers.

One of the goals of my project is documenting/observing wolves in Oregon in the wild by myself. I am planning to research all four ODFW confirmed packs packs here starting with the Imnaha pack.

I live in Eugene so I have about a 9 hour drive to the Enterprise/Joseph area. I know that Imnaha pack has a large territory and If anyone is willing to provide solid information relating to sittings of the pack in particular areas or has recommendations relating to areas that I might send some time in would be greatly appreciated.

If you area willing to assist me in this project please send me a private message with details.

Thanks,

What is the ultimate goal of your project?

I don't mean to sound rude or anything but at this point all I am willing to share is that it is a documentary.

Ok, no offense, but how do you expect people to be willing to help you on something without knowing what they're contributing to?

You wouldn't donate money to a non-profit that you had no idea what they did, would you?

yup.
I was going to make a smart... comment but decided against it. It sounds like a fun excursion, but I think people on here will want more details from you before they offer up any help. Would you be willing to give more info if poeple PMd you or called you? I don't have any info, just trying to help you out without helping you out.

First off I see the point(s) you guys are raising.

Maybe I should have called it a personal journey rather than a documentary since this is just for me.

Secondly I have no agenda. This is for my own personal interest. This is just more of a "bucket list" thing for me. My ultimate goal would be to get either pictures or video footage. I have take the efforts that I have, which I mentioned in my first post, so that I can hopefully increase the likelihood of getting photos or video footage.

Yes, If someone was serious about helping me with this I would be willing to have a conversation with them.
