Re: Official Trout Forum Trophy Thread
Took the boat down to Kalamath Lake a couple weekends ago and scored this 25" RB. No scale but felt exactly like the 10+# springer I caught a week prior. I know they get a lot bigger there but that is definitely my best trout so far.

Re: Official Trout Forum Trophy Thread
Great pics!
I've been doing real well down here in Northern Kali on the browns this year. All drift fishing with half a crawler or crickets!
2 to 4 lbs so far. Biggest over the years has been a 9 and a 7 3/4 #. I love the streams.

Re: Official Trout Forum Trophy Thread
Such a beauty. I'm planning a trip there for this summer. Bringing the 7/8 wt since I dont know if my fiberglass 5wt will stand much of a chance against those monsters.

Re: Official Trout Forum Trophy Thread
I rarely target mackinaw but do catch a few kokanee fishing. This 35 inch mack is my largest to date and was caught with a kokanee rod rated for 4-10 line and a reel spooled with 8 lb line.

Re: Official Trout Forum Trophy Thread
Nice Mack! But I'm more impressed with how you caught it rather than the size (not to take anything away from the fish It's still a KILLER Mack). Bet that took a while to get in on koke set-up. And Wallowa is a pretty tough lake to catch a laker in (this is more per a guide I know up there than my personal experience). Well done, sir!
