Default Harlequin duck

Is a harlequin considered a sea duck as far as the sea duck permit goes? If i shoot one in the valley, would i need the sea duck permit? I know were a couple hang out and might try to get a drake this winter and get a mount made. Thanks for the info.

From pg. 10 of the gamebird regulations:

DEFINITIONS
Sea Ducks: Harlequin, scoter, longtailed and eider ducks.

Looks like you need the sea duck permit

One cool bird. I used to see them whiewater kayaking the upper and little white salmon rivers. I guess they breed in mountain streams? Talk about an " odd duck."

Jeremy, the longer you can wait the better full good enough plumage to survive the tumbler and get a good mount. The closest to the end of the season is bestest- he he

Hello Jeremy,
it only takes a $1.50 to get legal on the sea ducks.
Last week, an IFISHER posted about killing a scoter in Long View.
Not that far from our hunting grounds.
A good storm from the west, who knows what could fly into the dekes.
