Default meteor this morning?

Did anyone see the so called meteor this morning, they said it might have been a russian rocket re-entering the atmosphere. I talked to a few guys out at big creek this morning that saw it and they said it was pretty amazing, really big. As far as big creek goes I wouldnt waste the gas, only fish I saw were two really ugly looking silvers, the water is low and gin clear but at least that last bit of rain we got pushed all of those dead and rotting fish out of there. Happy turkey day! http://www.katu.com/news/story.asp?ID=52534

I was up early, when I heard over the scanner, "Pan! Pan! Coast Guard Astoria, reporting a flair at the jetty just off of Hammond".

Hmmm. I thought... Must be a commercial crabber in distress....

Then, moments later, the 911 lady gets on and says there was a report of a fireball in the sky from hiway 53 over Nehalem.... Then, later yet, several other reports out of Tillamook!

I went outside to see, and drug Bill with me.
"THERE!" I screamed! "I see it!!!!"

"That's the moon, Jennie." He said.

We didn't get to see it.

OK, so I didn't have my contacts in.... Interesting story though. Back to da turkey bird....

Jen

I saw 2 of them on my way to work. I was driving north on I-5 between Wilsonville and Tualatin around 6:00 AM. 1 bright light followed by a very long orange stream then another bright light. Pretty cool!!

I saw it while at an emergency scene this morning.

Came straight out of the West to the East. It was BIG. You could see bits of it falling off as it burned up. It was visible for about a minute.

One of the coolest things I have ever seen.
