Did you know that the Portland Sportsman’s Show first started as a swap meet? The Portland Metro Chapter is in the early planning stages to host a fishing swap meet in 2013.

You are welcome to attend a brainstorming meeting for this swap meet. Join us Wednesday January 2nd at 7 pm in the Community Room of McMenamin’s Kennedy School located at 5736 NE 33rd in Portland.

Portland Metro is taking the lead on this event, but welcomes help and support from it’s neighboring CCA chapters. Come on by and have a beverage with us.

WANTED: GREAT PHOTOS

CCA Oregon is in need of some photos (and permission) for use on traveling signage and in our new website which is under construction. They could also be used in printed promotional literature.

Subject matter: We are currently looking for 4 types of photos.

1. River shot of bank fisherman (or fishermen).
2. River shot of drift boat fishing.
3. River shot of power boat fishing.
4. Ocean shot of power boat fishing.

We would prefer digital files, but prints are acceptable. Photos taken from phones are not always of high enough resolution for use in all applications. So photos taken with quality digital or film cameras are best.
